Mohd Noor Yahya

KOTA BHARU, 7 April: “Sihat...ma kasih (sihat, terima kasih),” ungkapan dititah Sultan Kelantan, Tuanku Ismail Petra ketika disapa orang ramai ketika dibawa bersiar di halaman Istana Mahkota, petang tadi.

Sultan Kelantan ditolak dengan kerusi roda khas di majlis sambutan ulangtahun hari lahir Tengku Temenggong, Tengku Muhammad Fikry kali ke-32.

Baginda berpakaian kemeja hitam dan wajahnya nampak ceria walau pun percakapannya tidak begitu jelas.

Baginda turut diiringi Raja Perempuan, Tengku Anis Tengku Abdul Hamid.

THE TOP TEN THINGS THAT TUANKU ISMAIL PETRA’S FIRST PUBLIC APPEARANCE AT ISTANA MAHKOTA ON WEDNESDAY, APRIL 8, 2010, MANAGED TO SHOW TO THE PEOPLE

1. The event managed to show to the people that the Raja Perempuan of Kelantan, Tengku Anis, is a queen control who does not respect Tuanku’s rights not only as a Sultan but also as a human being. In the event, when Tengku Anis asked Tuanku whether Tuanku wanted to sing a song, Tuanku flatly refused it by saying it would be difficult for him to do so. Despite Tuanku’s clear rejection, Tengku Anis however still forced Tuanku to follow her singing three songs. True to Tuanku’s prediction, he failed to sing the songs despite being guided by Tengku Anis. To prevent this blunder from being captured by the mass media, Tengku Anis had to cover Tuanku’s mouth with a piece of paper containing lyrics of the songs besides telling the people that Tuanku was too shy to sing that day. On the same note, Tengku Anis also forced Tuanku to talk to the press but, again, Tuanku miserably failed at that, prompting Tengku Anis to once again tell the people that Tuanku was too shy to talk that day. Now, what kind of wife would have dared to defy her beloved husband’s word or to subject him to such a great embarrassment in public?
